Final Fantasy Type 0 will be released in Japan on October 13th and ship on two UMDs. No word on an international release date has been given so far.
And…that’s about all I have to say. No use padding this post out, as people who actually care about this game will already be familiar with it.

Relative dates, and even supposed final dates, are never really set in stone when it comes to the gaming industry and with a relative date of September 2011 for Sega’s upcoming 3DS titles, they have proven that is the case.
Sega has given dates for Shinobi’s 3DS outing and the new CRUSH3D. Shinobi will return to form on November 15 and CRUSH3D has been set for a February 21, 2012 release. These are very significant delays for anyone who had hopes of picking these up, especially if the September window had them excited at all. No reason for the delay was given but it’s safe to assume that the teams needed more time to work on the games. Better to have a late coming game than an unfinished one.

In a move that I can only describe as baffling, Capcom announced that they have canceled production on Megaman Legends 3. This comes as quite a surprise, as Capcom previously went to great lengths to make the game in the first place. It took them roughly 10 years to even start production on it and then they approached fans to get feedback and input, in order to make the game a worthy entry in the popular franchise. The only reason for the cancelation given was that the project “wasn’t meeting it’s goals at this time”.
Call me unprofessional, but canceling the game after teasing us fans is kind of a dick move, especially with such a lame reason.

Earlier this month Edmund McMillen one of the creators of Super Meat Boy announced that he was working on a new title named The Binding of Isaac. In the game you take the role of a young child named Isaac who escapes being murdered by his mother by fleeing to the basement. The game is a much smaller title in comparison to Super Meat Boy with influences from games like Zelda, Smash TV, and Robotron. A post on Edmunds blog revealed that the game will be coming to Steam this August. No official price for the game is known as of yet but Edmund did say that “it definitely wont put much of a strain on your wallets”.
Check out some screenshot’s of the game after the jump.

Fans of the Halo Franchise got a treat this E3 when Microsoft and 343 Industries revealed Halo CE: Anniversary Edition an HD remake of the classic Xbox title. Microsoft has since then revealed details on the goodies you will get if you pre-order the game.
Pre-Order’s will come with the following extras:
- Master Chief Avatar Armour: Heroes Never Die, and to honour the 10th anniversary of John 117, you will finally be able to transform your Xbox Live Avatar into the iconic hero by outfitting it with Master Chief’s signature MJOLNIR Powered Assault Armour.
- Grunt Funeral Skull: An exclusive, game-modifying skull that changes the rules of the game for an explosively humorous experience, Grunt Funeral sends Halo’s most lowly and lovable enemy out in a blaze of glory. And plasma. And then more glory. Once the skull has been activated, every Grunt’s methane tank will explode like a plasma grenade when killed. Watch out for the Grunt chain reaction!
343 Industries also released a new trailer that details the effects of the “Grunt Funeral Skull” which you can view after the jump.

Best Buy recently posted details on its website about the Collectors Edition of Batman Arkham City. The collectors edition will come at the hefty price tag of $ 99.99 and include a multitude of extras. The extras include a premium statue by Kotobukiya, an Art Book, early access to the games DLC, and the Gotham Knights animated feature. The collectors edition is due to ship on PS3 and 360 alongside the regular edition for PC, PS3 and 360 this October on the 18th.
I was pretty disapointed with the collectors edition of Arkham Asylum but this one sounds like they are putting more effort into it. The figure sounds like a great addition seeing as how Kotobukiya has made some pretty good stuff in the past and it cant be any worse then that plastic Batarang they offered with Arkham Asylum CE. I don’t think I will end up getting it though as I was planning on getting the PC version and there is no word of a Collectors Edition for the platform at this time.

Here’s some more Dragon’s Dogma for you. Capcom revealed some information about the different classes you can choose in their upcoming Xbox360/PS3 fantasy adventure game. The three base classes are Fighter, Strider and Mage, with Strider being the quick and nimble class that uses bows and arrows to attack from a distance (Fighter and Mage should be self-explanatory, really). When you level up enough, you’ll get access to the advanced classes Warrior, Ranger and Sorcerer respectively. These are pretty much just improved versions of the base classes, giving you more health, range and access to better spells etc. While only having three classes plus their advanced counterparts seems a bit anemic, you’re not limited to these three choices, as you can mix and match your own custom class. Capcom will release more info on this system in the next few days.

Taito recently teased a new game from Reisuke Ishida the creative mind behind Space Invaders: Infinity Gene. The company posted a link on it’s twitter page to a teaser site that shows a Space Invader with headphones glowing ominously. The site promises that the game will be “an exhilarating next-gen groove game!”. No other details are known as of yet so we can only speculate but chances are it is a music based rhythm game of some sort.
Considering the soundtrack of Infinity Gene was my favorite part of the release the idea of Taito making a game based around said tunes sounds pretty good. If they can pump out the same quality of release then I’m already sold on the game.
