Having a love for music, it was a no brainer for Mark when he decided to produce content about music. It's always been a goal of his to get the internet more interested in gaming compositions by bringing it to the forefront with "Hey Listen!" Oh. Don't forget to follow him on Twitter!

Really excited to see you talk about some of my favourites!!
good tune my friend, the genesis did have a sound all to itself. pretty neat.. Ive always thought music to be one of the strongest parts of games. Heck I still hum tunes from nemesis 2 (gradius on the MSX) and Maze of Ghalious (again MSX not the silly nes version) from when i was 7.. there’s something very powerful about music that some people don’t even acknowledge nowadays, especially with all these new games that don’t have a distinctive sound or score. one of my all time favourite soundtrack has got to be thunder force 3 on megadrive. its still a blast! … Oh and cant for guardian heroes for xbox live arcade :P that games score is SHIT HOT!!
@MigDee well I think the next score he plans on taking a look at will make you happy. I’ll give you a hint. It’s not 8-bit.
I have to admit that the only musical scores I can properly identify is Halo and Call of Duty. Never mind the fact that the music seems to be recycled. I scarcely pay attention to the score of any video game let alone those of the 8-bit era but since pointing it out maybe I shall take a closer listen ! I’d like to see the sound coordinators over at Infinity Ward make the entire game based around an 8-bit sound board
Excited to see more videos. =] Music needs to noticed just as much as the Graphics and Storylines.
Great way to start this off. The Castlevania series is musical bliss!
