Fans of the new Mortal Kombat have been left wondering for some time who the final dlc add-on character for the Mortal Kombat Season Pass would be. The current additions have been Scarlet, Kenshi and most recently Rain but the identity of the last character in the pack has remained a secret until now as WB games and NetherRealm Studios announced today that Freddy Krueger will be making his way to the Mortal Kombat Universe. Xbox 360 fans who purchased the season pass should get him as part of that pack but expect him to be priced at around 4.99 USD like the other DLC characters.
Freddy’s inclusion in Mortal Kombat marks the first good thing hes been in since the 80′s. Check out his character trailer after the jump.

Some PlayStation Plus Subscribers in Europe have been reporting that they haven’t been able to access this months new content. The issue seems to only be effecting people who had used the free 30 day trial in the “Welcome Back” campaign and then decided to pay for a plus subscription. Playstation Network product manager James Thorpe stated that Sony is “aware of the problem” and that they are “working on this problem now as a matter of priority”
Its a shame this had to happen to new customers of the service but at least Sony has started working on the problem quickly. Hopefully they fix the problem before the new subscribers miss out on the free download of Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver.

The Resident Evil franchise is a staple when it comes to modern survival horror games and in order to do the series’ 15th anniversary justice, Capcom is releasing a huge boxset with lots of goodies to commemorate the occasion. The box will contain the following:
- Resident Evil 1 Director’s Cut (PS1)
- Resident Evil 2 (PS1)
- Resident Evil 3 (PS1)
- Resident Evil: Survival Selection (PS3)
- Resident Evil: Code Veronica Soundtrack
- Resident Evil 4 Soundtrack
- 15th anniversary pins and stickers

An image recently surfaced showing the box details for the Resistance 3 bundle and the mark of a mysterious PSN Pass feature. Today, it was confirmed in a statement from Sony that the feature is indeed real and coming soon starting with Insomniac’s latest installment in the Resistance franchise.
The pass is being compared all over to EA’s pass system from last year where a one-time code is used to access a game’s online features. The concept seems like it’s spreading like wildfire across the industry with many games planning to incorporate the future. It is primarily seems as an attack on the secondhand games market of which GameStop is the leader. If you get the game used with no code, you’ll have to fork over extra cash to purchase your own pass.
Right now it’s only for PS3 games and they made it clear that the Pass is game-specific but we all know that it’ll probably find it’s way on to the games we all want to play.

HD remakes seem to be the thing to do in the game industry these days. It is a low risk venture with almost always much to gain. Some of the biggest franchises of all time have hopped on the HD bandwagon, Metal Gear Solid, God of War, and Resident Evil, just to name a few. But Final Fantasies not ending in 13, have yet to be given that HD treatment. The wait could be over soon.

A recent entry on the Korean ratings board has outed Limbo for the PSN. Limbo was previously released on XBLA during last years summer of arcade event and has since gone on to win the “Technical Excellence” and “Excellence in Visual Art” awards at the 2010 Independent Games Festival.
As a fan of the game I would highly suggest checking it out once it becomes available on the PS3.
