Rockstar No Longer Team Bondi’s Publisher

LA Noire

This could very well be the case for the L.A. Noire publisher. Such sour news isn’t the first to come out surrounding Team Bondi but it is the latest. Some leaked emails were obtained by Gamesindustry.biz that practically prove that the reported working conditions surrounding L.A. Noire’s development were true. A source for the site stated that Rockstar has made the effort to affirm that they will not be publishing Team Bondi’s next game.

“I’ve heard a lot about Rockstar’s distain for Team Bondi, and it has been made quite clear that they will not publish Team Bondi’s next game.”

So if this is true, it could change things for a possible L.A. Noire sequel or any future games from the studio. Whether you love or hate the crime-fighting title, I’m sure it’s success will have other publisher’s interested in the team.

Gamecock Aquired by SouthPeak

October 14, 2008 by

Gamecock, the publisher behind upcoming titles like Mushroom Men, Legendary, and Velvet Assassin were purchased yesterday by publisher SouthPeak. SouthPeak feels that Gamecock will be bringing them a good list of upcoming titles and helps them continue to work with independent developers. Neither company revealed how much the acquisition was for, but hopefully the purchase doesn’t effect Gamecocks uncanny ability to dress up like jack asses and promote a game.
