Today exclusive Hitman 5 details, BioWare on a Star Wars scam, and L.A. Noire on collectors editions.

It seems that L.A. Noire will be the first major release that won’t try to get more money from you with a bunch of useless crap. (Source: VG247) Rockstar has confirmed that the game will not get a Collectors edition when the game launches on May 17th, but will only get the already promised pre-order bonus content at certain retailers. L.A. Noire is Rockstar’s new detective based game that will force you to guess if people are lying, solve mysteries, and shoot people in the face when necessary. Maybe if were really lucky they’ll release new characters that cost $5 to interrogate. Wait. Capcom says not to take their shtick.

Possibly the first ever leaked screenshot of Hitman 5 hit the internet and already forums are exploding with speculation. (Source: G4) The game that’s been emphatically denied by Square has developers that have apparently been teasing fans on the Hitman forums. Those fans discovered the flickr account YouAreOnTheRightTrack which contained the new image. The viral campaign even teased the date of June 7th, the first day of E3. An insider also tells us that Agent 47 will be much more ugly, sweaty and have some noticeable scars, that an eagle view has been added similar to the one in Assassin’s Creed which will show hints and the routes of enemies, oh, and that the fan favorite weapon the piano wire will be making a return. I hope I can actually kill someone with it this time.

finally, BioWare is warning fans of a scam involving Star Wars the Old Republic. (Source: GameInformer) A group is apparently selling test accounts and beta keys that they claim will get you into the beta. Community Manager Allison Berryman says that all of the offers are false and that the only way you’re going to get into the beta is if you get an offer from Bioware. Period. If they do see that a testing account changes hands they take action to the fullest extent possible, including permanently banning the account from the service. Look, if you’re foolish enough to give some random person your credit card on the internet, maybe you shouldn’t be in the beta anyway. I’m trying to nicely say that if you do that… you’re stupid.
