Today I’ve got a big update about Sony being fucked, Mass Effect 3 stuff because I’m a fanboy, and lets start off with Star Wars news. I’m Destin and this is the Daily DL. Psyche. Mass Effect 3 has been delayed to the date we all thought it was coming out on anyway. (Source: GamesRadar)This has led to disappointment from fans, seeing it was originally slated to come out in November of 2011. Speculation as to why they decided to delay the game is mostly looking at the fact that the game would have gone up against the likes of Elder Scrolls: Skyrim, and Uncharted 3. If that was the real reason EA decided to delay the game, I’ll bet it’s because they like A) Making Money and B) Paying their employees. Speaking of EA, the hundred million dollar investment known as Star Wars The Old Republic will be launching in 2011… no wait… 2012… no wait… March. Definitely before March. (Source: Joystiq) After saying that the game would be launching this year, they changed their tune and are now saying that the game is expected to launch sometime before the end of their fiscal year, which is March 2012. What the exact date will be remains uncertain, but if we all use the force I’ll bet we can figure it out…. Yeah, the force isn’t real and we’re all really big nerds for doing that. You didn’t? Okay just me. Finally, do you want some updates on the Playstation Network? Yeah? Yeah? *cock eyebrow* Okay those guys aren’t invited. Anyway… Sony has stated that some of the Network’s services will be coming back up sometime this week, and in the meantime, they’re trying to cover their butts with congress. (Source: Sony) Kaz Hirai revealed details about the attack including that this was a highly sophisticated criminal cyber attack. After stating the obvious, he also said that one of the servers at Sony Online Entertainment had a file named “Anonymous” that contained text saying “We are Legion.” As for when the Network will be up, a fake Kaz Hirai account said that PSN will be up by the end of next week. Not sure which week though… I found this hilarious. Also a firm in Canada filed a class action suit against Sony for 1 billion dollars (Source: Joystiq) in damages, which will most likely be dumbed down to a jar or two of maple syrup, and some hockey sticks. Seeing this story has been dragged out by the media who’s sucking every page hit they can out of it, I’ll be sure to jump on that bandwagon and keep you updated so stay tuned. I wouldnt want to go up against skyrim either, and well maybe they can polish the game a little more in the mean time. I been replaying the first mass effect to get myself a different level 60 import and I’ve come to realize the first games seems to have much more cinematic lighting and camera angles.

@gamechamp Technically you are mistaken. From what I understood from my lawyer friend, it’s Canadian law that Sony has to pay for a background check for each person that may have been affected by this problem. So yes, Canadians do deserve something… Peace of mind.
Nice DL Destin. Sony just posted on their blog saying that they are in their final stages of internal testing of the new system. SO should be up next week…. maybe lol! We also got a nice letter from Howard Stringer.

Oh Destin, you are so right about us Canadians lol, we only get exactly whats deserved in a lawsuit, then all of that pay goes to the lawyers and we end up with all the nothing we started with.
I found it hilarious that when I watched the hard news video on screwattack about the lawsuit and how its for canadians not being notified about the security issues or something, that seconds after that hard news video ended, I received an email from Sony notifying me about the issue and tips to protect myself etc. I’m not even a playstation network user.
